Marry Me Chicken
Marry Me Chicken is a dish that lives up to its name. Tender chicken bathed in a rich, flavorful sauce packed with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and a touch of cream – it’s sure to impress anyone lucky enough to try it.
Ingredients:
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
- Prep the chicken: Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour, shaking off any excess.
- Brown the chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches if needed, add the chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate, cover, and set aside.
- Build the sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in the chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, chili flakes (if using), oregano, and thyme. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
- Finish the dish: Add the sun-dried tomatoes and cooked chicken back to the pan. Simmer for a few minutes until heated through. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
